In The News...

Recently, there was an incident on the MTV show Jersey Shore in which one of the female cast members was punched in the face by an anebriated male. The 24-year old male, Brad Ferro, was angered when "Snooki" told him to stop stealing the cast of Jersey Shore's drinks. Ferro was charged with assult and disorderly conduct with good reason. He came to the club completely drunk but didn't heed the bouncers warnings to stop drinking.

Ferro was not the only one to get in trouble for the whole ordeal. MTV has publicly criticized for allowing violence against women to be shown on television. MTV has even lost some sponsors due to the fiasco.

Quote of the Day

This week i was looking for a quote to go along with realtiy television and I found this quote from Paul Merton who is poking fun at reality television. I thought it was pretty great!

"They're doing a new show: Celebrity Corpse, where you dig up someone after five years and try to guess who they were."

Why Reality Television?

For the past 5 years, every Sunday morning my mom and I would get up and watch all the reality television we had missed that previous week due to her working and me having practices and games daily. We would spend hours watching people make fools of themselves. It was a fantastic way to end the week and spend some time with my mom. Now I am living 8 hours from home so I only get to go back about once a month. My mom and I still watch our favorite shows and facebook about what happened. It is not exactly the same as it use to be, but it is still a way for me and my mom to bond even though I am so far away from home.

What I Do When I Am Having A Bad Day

I wanted to do my blog on reality television because I personally see it as one of the most enthralling sites i have ever seen. It's not hard to lose track of time just watching the idiocracy of others. I find that watching reality television is exceptionallly wonderful when I am having a bad because it lets me see that there is someone out there who has way more problems than I will ever have.

I found this clip. It really brightens my day:) :
